High Consequence Areas (HCAs)
HCAs are locations where a pipeline leak may have greater impacts on public safety or the environment. Under federal regulations, certain segments of our pipelines are designated as HCAs. In these areas, we take extra precautions to protect the integrity of the pipeline, nearby communities, and the environment.
